Qualification :
Essential Academic Qualifications:
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification
recognised as such by the Central Government including Integrated Dual Degree (IDD).
Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant,
Cost Accountant would also be eligible.
Note: The date of passing eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark sheet or
provisional certificate issued by the University/ Institute. In case the result of a particular
examination is posted on the website of the University/ Institute, a certificate issued by the
appropriate authority of the University/ Institute indicating the date on which the result was posted
on the website will be taken as the date of passing.
Experience (Post Essential Academic Qualification) as on 31.10.2023:
Minimum 2 years’ experience (Post Essential Academic Qualification Experience) as on
31.10.2023 as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or any Regional Rural Bank as
listed in Second Schedule of Reserve Bank of India.
Age Limit:
As on 31.10.2023 Not below 21 years and Not above 30 years as on 31.10.2023 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 31.10.2002 and not earlier than 01.11.1993 (both days inclusive).

Pay Scale:
Presently, the starting basic pay is 36,000/- in the scale of 36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-
49910-1990/7-63840 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I plus 2 advance increments
(For work experience of 2 years or more in officer cadre in any Scheduled Commercial Bank/
Regional Rural Bank). The official will also be eligible for D.A, H.R.A/ Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical
and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time.
Mode of Selection:
Eligible candidates, who aspire to join State Bank of India as an Officer, are required to register on-line after carefully reading the advertisement regarding the selection process, eligibility criteria, online registration processes, payment of prescribed application fee, issuance of call letters, process & pattern of examination/ interview etc. and ensure that they fulfill the stipulated criteria and follow the prescribed processes.
Eligible candidates are required to register on-line for the recruitment process which will be held in phases viz.
(i) Online Examination
(ii) Screening and
(iii) Interview.
- Online Test: Online test will consist of Objective Tests for 120 marks and Descriptive
Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after conclusion of
the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the
computer. - Objective Test:The duration of objective test is 2 hours and it consists of 4 Sections of total 120 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.

3. Descriptive Test: The duration of Descriptive Test is 30 minutes. It will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) with two questions for total 50 marks.
There will be no sectional qualifying marks. There is minimum qualifying marks on aggregate
and the minimum qualifying marks will be as decided by the Bank.
Penalty for Wrong Answers: There will be no penalty for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests.
