NEW DELHI: Chandigarh Transport Undertakings (CTU) has announced the recruitment of Bus Drivers and Bus Conductors. The admit cards for the recruitment examination are now available on the official website of CTU, which is https:\/\/www.chdctu.gov.in\/.
The recruitment test is scheduled to take place on July 16, 2023, in Chandigarh. The test timings and reporting times vary depending on the position. For the Heavy Bus Driver position, the test will be conducted from 02.30 PM to 04.30 PM, with a reporting time of 01.30 PM. On the other hand, the Bus Conductor test will take place from 10.00 AM to 12.00 Noon, with a reporting time of 09.00 AM.
The recruitment is open to male candidates, and online applications are invited for a total of 131 vacant posts of Bus Conductors and 46 vacant posts of Heavy Bus Drivers. The selection will be made through direct recruitment.
For Bus Conductors, the vacancies are distributed as follows: 61 posts for the General category, 23 posts for Scheduled Caste, 35 posts for Other Backward Classes, and 12 posts for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Ex-servicemen and DSEM (Dependents of Servicemen) are also eligible, with 7 posts reserved for them.
As for Heavy Bus Drivers, there are 22 posts for the General category, 8 posts for Scheduled Caste, 12 posts for Other Backward Classes, and 4 posts for EWS. Ex-servicemen and DSM candidates have 3 and 1 post reserved for them, respectively.
