They build data pipelines, manage databases, and ensure data integrity and security.<\/p>\n<p id=\"8\" class=\"story_para_8\">Since data science in healthcare is a typical example of an interdisciplinary field, and due to the availability of post-graduation diplomas\/degree programmes in the Indian education sector, the eligibility requirements for a data science professional programme are highly heterogeneous. In most cases, a bachelor\u2019s or master\u2019s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, bioinformatics, or a related discipline is considered acceptable.<\/p>\n<p id=\"9\" class=\"story_para_9\">However, due to the availability of post-graduation diplomas\/degree programmes, there is also scope for non-computer science graduates to adopt data science via these programmes. Notably, programming and statistics constitute the core of data science, so proficiency in these fields is always advantageous in data science.
