Infosys is set to get a new HR head. Sushanth Tharappan will soon take up the role of head of human resources. This marks the second change in the HR department this year. Earlier this year, Infosys announced the appointment of another company veteran Shaji Mathew as group head of human resources effective March 2023. Shaji took over from Krishnamurthy Shankar (Krish), who retired after serving in this role in 2015.
Tharappan replaces Richard Lobo who held the position for over six years. Lobo has been internally moved to be a part of a special team working directly under chief executive Salil Parekh, as per a report in Economic Times.
Before the elevation, Tharappan held the position of senior vice president at the IT major. He has also been heading the Infosys Leadership Institute initiative for four years. The initiative offers a variety of leadership training programmes, seminars and workshops for team development and it also addresses succession planning.

Tharappan has been at the Infosys Group for over 20 years. He was previously the chief people officer at the company\u2019s automation arm Edgeverve Systems. He holds a BSc degree from St. Aloysius and an MBA graduate from Mangalore University.
Infosys has informed stock exchanges that the company will announce its first-quarter results for the fiscal year 2024 on July 20. The company has forecasted 4-7% revenue growth for FY24, its slowest expansion in six years. In its annual general meeting last week, the IT major\u2019s chairman Nandan Nilekani said the company is on a \u201csolid foundation\u201d to grow on back of its 95 large deals worth $9.8 billion bagged last fiscal. Chief executive Salil Parekh said that the overall demand environment has changed with the global economy and the GDP rates slowing down. <\/div>\n
