In a blog post, WhatsApp also revealed that it now has more than 200 million users of its Business app. <br \/>WhatsApp has announced the ability for the more than 200 million users of the <!-- -->WhatsApp Business<!-- --> app to create Facebook and Instagram ads that click to WhatsApp without needing a Facebook account, as well as new ways to connect with customers more efficiently.<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>No Facebook account needed to create ads<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In the blog post, WhatsApp said that it will soon be &#8220;possible for the many small businesses across the world that run their entire operation on WhatsApp to create, purchase and publish a Facebook or Instagram ad directly within the WhatsApp Business app.\u201d In other words, all users need is an email address and a form of payment to get started. Earlier, it was required that businesses should have a Facebook account. <br \/>WhatsApp says that these ads ads \u201care one of the most powerful ways to drive potential customers to message them on WhatsApp and this will open new opportunities for WhatsApp-only small businesses that need a simpler way to get started with advertising.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>Enabling businesses to reach more users<\/b><\/p>\n<p>WhatsApp will soon begin testing a new feature within the WhatsApp Business app where small businesses will have the option to send personalised messages to their customers \u2013 like appointment reminders, birthday greetings or even updates on a holiday sale \u2013 in a faster and more efficient way.<br \/>\u201cRather than having to manually send the same message to multiple customers, this new feature will give businesses the ability to send personal messages with the customer\u2019s name and customisable call-to-action buttons to specific customer lists such as those with a select label (like \u201cVIP customers\u201d or \u201cnew customers\u201d), schedule the day and time the messages are sent and then see what\u2019s working,\u201d noted WhatsApp in the blog post.
