In a series of ads for the Pixel phones, Google has made fun of the iPhone multiple times.
In one of the ads, the insinuation is that the iPhone has aged, and not too very well. The ad has a lot of backhanded compliments for the iPhone. For instance, the iPhone in the ad says “When I was your age, people were showing me off to their friends,” and the Pixel replies “They still do! You’re legendary.”
However, the iPhone in the ad adopts a self-deprecating tone and Pixel takes a pitying tone towards it. The ad ends with iPhone admitting that it is “jealous” of the Pixel’s AI.
There are quite a few features — most of them pointed out in the ads — that the iPhone does lack.

#BestPhonesForever: Plateau

#BestPhonesForever: Opening Up

#BestPhonesForever: Lifesaver

#BestPhonesForever: Seeing Stars

#BestPhonesForever: Sketchy Wi-Fi

In another ad, Google takes a dig at the lack of reverse charging in the iPhone whereas one ad reminds us how there’s no astro mode in the iPhone camera. Google has also pitted the Pixel Fold in one of the ads as well. Not having a type-C port is also another feature that Google takes a dig in the series of ads.

Google does a Samsung

In the past, it has always been Samsung at the forefront of taking digs at Apple through its ads. In fact, Samsung has made an almost annual ritual of releasing a couple of ads soon after the iPhone is launched. Samsung with its Fold and Flip series most recently took potshots at Apple. Microsoft has also in the past taken jabs at Apple in a series of ads comparing PC with the Mac.

[ad_2]

Source link

[ad_1] It seems like Google is taking a leaf out of Samsung and Microsoft’s book and has joined the club of brands taking digs at Apple.
