These previews summarise the content of the link destination with a title, description and thumbnail. Link previews of Twitter posts are reportedly not working on some messaging platforms. According to a report by 9to5Google, Twitter link previews are showing blank for some <!-- -->iMessage<!-- --> and <!-- -->Slack<!-- -->users.The report claims that when a Twitter link is being shared on these messaging platforms, it&#8217;s not auto-generating a preview. We at TOI-GadgetsNow also checked for Twitter link previews on iMessage and it wasn\u2019t working for us as well.<br \/><span class=\"strong\">How is it affecting users?<\/span><br \/>This issue is affecting <!-- -->Apple<!-- -->\u2019s rich media preview feature available on iMessage for iPhone, Mac and other devices. In standard cases, when <!-- -->iPhone<!-- --> users share a Twitter link, the preview shows the tweet without needing to click it. The social media platform also shows a thumbnail from the tweet if it includes attachments.<br \/>As per the report, this issue might be due to a disconnect between Twitter and Apple servers. For this issue, the tweet links when shared are showing \u201ctwitter.com\u201d with no context in the preview. The bug may look like Apple\u2019s latest <!-- -->Lockdown Mode<!-- --> feature that restricts links in iMessages from even being opened. But, the <!-- -->Twitter link preview<!-- --> doesn\u2019t look that severe. <\/p>\n<p>Users can click the link and it\u2019ll redirect them to the specific tweets, so the links don\u2019t seem to be affected by the issue. If users can\u2019t see the preview, they can click on the link to open Twitter on the web or app to see what\u2019s been shared with them. However, Twitter\u2019s link previews come in handy, especially for users who share and comment on tweets often.<br \/>This is not the first time such an issue has surfaced for users who access Twitter on their iPhones<!-- -->. In 2022, a similar issue was resolved on Twitter\u2019s end quickly.
